About Us

In 2003, I went to France on a winter get-away vacation with a friend.  We wandered around Paris in the rain and snow showers and happened upon a small jewelry shop tucked away behind Notre Dame Cathedral.  The many colors and varied designs of the jewelry captivated me and I spent over an hour just browsing in the store.

The following year in my return trip to Paris, the little jewelry shop was on my list of "Have-To" things to do.  This time I came with a list of requests from family and friends.  The shop owner, who did not speak much English, was very curious about all my purchases.  "What are you doing with all this?" she asked.  I explained that I had a shopping list of requests and she suggested I should meet her partner, who was also the jewelry designer.

They explained that they were looking for a way to introduce their jewelry designs to the United States.  More amazingly, I had been racking my brain to figure out what I could do as a new career now that my daughter was in school all day.  It was a solution to both our needs and a short while later Debonair Décor was born.

Initially this site will focus on introducing the many new and exciting designs from Thelma - Paris.  In the future I will be sharing more accessories and personal favorite things for the home and for yourself.
